Well, it’s a sad day for all air show fans because it has been canceled due to the COVID 19 pandemic. It is one of my favorite events of the year in San Diego to photograph.
The air show is one of the largest military air shows in the world. It has over 500,000 attendees each year. I went for the first time in 2019 and is the best air show I have photographed.

“With COVID-19 continuing to spread in communities in California and beyond, Col. Charles Dockery, Commanding Officer of MCAS Miramar, made the decision to suspend this fall’s scheduled event and look to begin the early planning for a show in 2021”.

Well, it is sad to say that the show has been canceled. I was looking forward to going again this year. I met a lot of friendly people last year, who shared a lot of knowledge with me. I was looking forward to meeting up with them again. I guess I will have to wait until next year!
